Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado is thrilled to be selected as the 2017 & 2018 Biz Bash beneficiary by CoBiz Financial. Out of over 80 applicants, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado (BBBSC) was selected as CoBiz’s newest Biz Bash nonprofit partner, which could provide an estimated $300,000 for BBBSC over the next two years. Funds from Biz Bash will support our new mentor2.0 program, create an endowed scholarship fund for our graduating seniors, build a CoBiz Kids Corner at our new office for visiting families, and create new recruitment and training videos for our mentors and mentee matches.
Biz Bash is CoBiz Financial’s signature concert fundraiser – the official black t-shirt event – boasts a rocking concert, a delicious foodie feast, a hosted bar and a high-end silent auction. Toss on that little black dress and join us for a night on the town! Biz Bash was created to put the “fun” into FUNdraising and to give back to the community -- all while having a great time. Funds raised from the one-night event support nonprofit organizations in Arizona and Colorado serving the needs of at-risk/at-need children and families in local communities. Total proceeds have ranged from $47,000 to 2016’s record-breaking year of $310,000!
Since its inception in 2001, Biz Bash has raised more than $5 million and is the not-to-miss event of the year. With 1,200 guests in attendance at Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium, some of the past Biz Bash headliners have included Huey Lewis and The News, Cheap Trick and America – just to name a few. CoBiz Financial and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado are excited to partner together to support Colorado’s kids.
Dust off those boots, grab your cowboy hat and get ready to save a horse because Biz Bash is going to be a party! Join us on April 20 to see country superstars, Big & Rich take the stage at Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium!
