Cars Helping Kids

Whether your car starts or not, donating it can certainly start something in your community. Cars Helping Kids helps us raise funds through the donation of your unwanted vehicle. Donated vehicles qualify as charitable gifts and may be eligible for a tax deduction.

We welcome all types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, SUVs, motor homes, boats, and construction equipment.

The process for donating is simple. Just call the Big Brothers Big Sisters Vehicle Donation Program a 303-433-3666 from Metro Denver or 719-633-2443 from Colorado Springs or follow the easy steps below to arrange a pickup for your unwanted vehicle. The vehicle will be picked up, processed, and sold to help kids in your community.

How to Donate Your Car:

Step 1: Have the following paperwork and information ready (vehicles title, year and make of vehicle, Vehicle Identification Number and location of vehicle)

Step 2: CLICK HERE or call 303-433-3666 (Metro Denver) or 719-633-2443 (Colorado Springs)

Step 3: We will arrange a time that is convenient for you to coordinate free towing of your donated vehicle. If you haven't heard from us within 24 hours, please call.

Step 4: Your vehicle will then be sold at a dealers-only auction or to a licensed recycler. With all costs deducted, Big Brothers Big Sisters typically receives between 65% and 80% of the gross sale price. Proceeds benefit programs in your area.

Step 5: We will provide you with a receipt within 30 days of the selling date of the vehicle.

Step 6: Feel good and know that your contribution is going to help Big Brothers Big Sisters give a child in the community the life-changing gift of a mentor!
