Community Mentoring / Operation Mentor

This Big Sisters program is the classic mentoring model where a Big Sister and her Little Sister choose fun things to do together. In this program you might do things like go swimming, watch a movie, go to a museum, make lunch, go for a hike, do homework, or anything that you enjoy doing together. Typically, you will hang out together for a few hours at least twice a month and maybe even once a week, depending on your schedules and interests. A commitment of one year is required for this program.
Operation Mentor mentors get matched up with kids who have a parent deployed oversees in the military. Operation Mentor matches meet two to four times a month to hang out. In Operation Mentor Community mentoring you can do whatever you and your Little Sister like to do. Think about what you'd do that afternoon anyways and just bring your Little Sister along.
Go to the movies, play in the park, get a burger, walk your dog, wash your car, go on a hike - just have fun. Our staff will provide ideas as well as free activities and tickets to community events. Operation Mentor Community mentoring requires a twelve month commitment.
