School Based Mentoring
School-Based Mentoring volunteers are matched one-to-one with a child and meet within a group setting once a week during the school year. Activities are coordinated by a Big Brothers Big Sisters Staff.
The 2010-2011 program will work with 5th grade children from Stratton Meadows Elementary School in Harrison District 2, September 2010 - May 2011, with two additional agency-sponsored activities in the following summer. School-Based curriculum focuses on social-awareness, self-awareness, social-engagement and self-management.
Listen to your Little tell you about what they learned that day or the happenings from recess and have fun! School Based Mentoring requires the commitment of one year.
