Meet Lissette Quintero, our dedicated Volunteer Enrollment Specialist here at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado (BBBSC). In this role, Lissette plays a crucial part in ensuring that our mission of empowering youth through mentorship is upheld to the highest standards.
As a Volunteer Enrollment Specialist, Lissette has a unique role in our organization. She interviews potential Bigs, conducting thorough evaluations to assess their suitability for our program. This involves delving deep into their motivations, assessing their eligibility, suitability, coachability, and matchability. Every decision made by Lissette is guided by our mission to provide safe, enriching, and impactful mentorship experiences for our youth.
For Lissette, mentorship is more than just a job—it’s a passion. She firmly believes that mentorship equips young individuals with the tools they need to succeed and become their best selves. Through her work, she sees firsthand how mentors can provide skills, guidance, experience, and friendship that profoundly impact the lives of children in our community.
One of the most inspiring aspects of Lissette’s role is witnessing the dedication of volunteers who want to give back because someone once invested in them during their own childhood. This sense of paying it forward creates a ripple effect of positive change, ensuring that the next generation grows up to be well-rounded and empowered members of society.
Lissette’s diligence in ensuring child safety and her unwavering commitment to our mission make her an invaluable member of the BBBSC team. Her work behind the scenes ensures that every mentorship match is not only meaningful but also safe and enriching for both Bigs and Littles.
We are incredibly grateful to have Lissette on board, championing our mission and making a lasting difference in the lives of youth in our community. Thank you, for your dedication, passion, and commitment to youth empowerment through mentorship!
