Partner of the Month: Liberty Media & LibertyGives Foundation

As we prepare for the Thanksgiving Holiday, we are filled with gratitude for the many community partners who invest their time and resources to support the important work of youth mentoring. Since 2010, Liberty Media has been a sustaining partner, supporting the mission of BBBSC by investing in our mission financially through grants and sponsorships, and by providing countless volunteer hours and board representation from their team members.

In 2009, the LibertyGives Foundation established a permanent theme for its corporate giving strategy: to support charities that address the needs of underprivileged youth in Colorado, with a focus on proactive and preventative services. Over the course of 14 years, the LibertyGives Foundation has invested over $333,200 to fund BBBSC mentoring programs. During that time, BBBSC has supported over 15,000 youth in the Denver Metro and Colorado Springs areas, provided mentor services, career and college readiness training, and a human connection for students who need a caring adult to come along side them.

In addition to the financial investment, Liberty Media employees have supported our mission in the most important way possible—by becoming a Big. We’ve also benefitted from the guidance and community advocacy of Associate Board (AB) members, including current AB member Stephan Tuchfeld, who has served on the AB since 2019. Stephan is a former Big and Associate Board committee chair for BBBSC. His dedication to BBBSC helps keep our partnership active and thriving.

Thank you, Liberty Media, for being a committed partner for so many years!
