Other Ways to Give

Leave a Legacy

Create a legacy by leaving a gift to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado through your will, trust, retirement accounts, insurance policies, or charitable gift annuities. If you want to create a future gift, we encourage you to work with your financial advisers to design the best opportunities for you.

If you have already included BBBSC in your estate giving plans, thank you and please let us know by filling out and submitting this form. If you choose, we would like to recognize your gift and it will inspire generosity in others.

IRA Contributions

Individuals age 70 ½ can donate up to $100,000 directly from their Individual Retirement Account (IRA) without treating the distribution as taxable income. Please consult your financial advisor for details to make an IRA Contribution.

Stocks & Securities

If your stock is more valuable now compared to when you purchased it, you may save on capital gains taxes by donating your stocks rather than selling them. Additionally, its current value may be tax deductible. As with all your investment decisions, please consult your financial advisers. By donating in the form of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, or other appreciated securities, you are making an investment in the future of children in your community.

Host an Event

A third-party event is when a business, organization, community group, school, or individual hosts an event or fundraising campaign to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado. It is planned and implemented independently of BBBSC and donations are passed through.

Donate Your Tickets

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado is grateful for donations of tickets to sporting events, concerts, plays, and other cultural or educational experiences. BBBSC is always striving to give our Littles opportunities they might not otherwise have the chance to experience.

Due to the nature of program we usually require at least a week’s notice to be able to distribute tickets to matches. Details related to tickets and location of the event may require time to distribute. It is always up to the discretion of BBBSC whether a time, date, location, or event is appropriate or acceptable for matches.

Donate Your Vehicle

Your unwanted vehicle can make a difference in the life of a child. Donated vehicles qualify as charitable gifts and may be eligible for a tax deduction. For more information on donating a vehicle click here.
